Teaching methods based on subject. Relationship of Teaching - learning. General teaching methods. Teaching application area. Examination of text book in this subject. Relationship between special teaching methods and micro teaching applications. Determination of teaching strategies.

TES - 328 AIR CONDITIONING (3  0  0 : 3)

Aim of air conditioning, air and its properties, typical air conditioning processes; (cooling and dehumidification, air mixing) psychometric analysis of complete systems; sensible cooling load, latent cooling load, coil line). Application of Molier diagram, law of gases in air conditioning applications.

ENR - 324 FLUİD DYNAMICS - I (3  0  0 : 3)

Fluid properties; (Density, specific weight, viscosity, vapour pressure, compressibility, surface tension). Classifications of flow; (viscous flow, non-viscous flow, laminar, turbulent flow) Fluid static's; (hydrostatic forces and pressure variation, forces on a plane and a curve surface) fluid kinematics and dynamics; (velocity and acceleration, radial flow, continuity equation, transport theorem, Bernoulli, Euler Equation, momentum equation) pipe flow, flow meters, (manometer, U tube, pilot tube, venture tube). Mathematics analysis of laminar flow in pipe flow and plane flow.

ENR - 326 HEAT TRANSFER (3  0  0 : 3)

Type of heat transfer; conduction, convection and radiation. Fourier's law of heat conduction, steady Heat Conduction in Plane walls, in cylinders. Critical radius of insulation, Forced and natural convection, radiation heat transfer, heat exchangers, temperature decrease in pipes.

TES - 334 APPLIED VENTILATING TECHNIQUE (4  0  4 : 6)

Ventilating lines; (line materials, flow, pressure and velocity measurement, terminal systems components, filters, economiser, chimneys, chimney hoods. Necessity of fresh air, psychometric; heat gains and load. HVAC systems; (introduction, methods of calculation, design and setup). Type of aspirators/ventilators, methods of air refresh.

TES - 336 APPLIED HEATING TECHNIQUE (4  0  4 : 6)

Importance of heating and heaters, heat systems, local and centre heating systems components, high efficient in boilers, organisation of boiler system, pipe workmanship ; (bending, flexing, furnishing). Chimney and channels, expansion tank; (properties, working types). Domestic hot water heating systems, floor heating systems, pumps, (functions, repairs, keeping).

Work and heat transfer in thermodynamic, thermodynamic cycles; Carnot Cycle, Rankine, Brayton, Otto and Diesel Cycles. Ideal gas mixtures, air-vapour mixtures (psychometrics).
